At yesterday’s park session Zak had a new squeaky toy – a large hotdog. Now I’m normally not partial to squeaky fast food, but that hotdog was the most realistic I’ve ever seen. It had it all – a huge “dog”, crisp lettuce that glistened with the morning dew (after a roll the grass), and a thick stripe of mustard. As I watched Zak parading it around, the supposedly healthy bowl of bran cereal I’d had for breakfast seemed woefully inadequate.
Sadly Zak’s toys seldom last long, and the hotdog was no exception. It’s not his fault – for a such a big boy he’s remarkably gentle with them, but there are certain other dogs in the park who aren’t so careful. His partner Amber is one of them; Beanie is also a known serial de-squeaker, but after careful inspection of the photos I took, I think there may be a new squeakiopath at large.
Early in the session Beanie uses the hotdog to start a chase.. but it’s still squeaking at this point
Biggles tries to grab it..
..and fails, but the hotdog is still intact
Toby’s in the clear – he only had eyes for his hoop!
Maya and her buddy were far too busy play-fighting..
.. to even notice the hotdog
Kirby and Amber spent much of the session playing together, much to Biggles’ frustration
Biggles has a stick – that leaves only Beanie on the suspect list!
But wait! What’s this?
And this!!?
Hmm.. yes, it’s starting to look like the butler Biggles did it!
