He’s a determined wee fella ain’t he!
What a hoot! Beagles are so funny, I love mine/
I now have a big hole in my carpet where previous beagle Toby got hold of a packet of butter, scoffed it all down threw it all up then he and all subsequent beagles and one Westie have anhialated the carpet trying to eat/lick the fat off which has defied all methods of cleaning it. A lot to be said for wooden floors!
Laura, it pays to be determined when the rewards can be so rich! We are careful but with an astute Beagle constantly on the look out it only takes a moment of absentmindedness and our boy scores a jackpot! He’s had a tub of margarine before – also 2 or 3 full batches of peanut butter cookies (fresh out of the oven). Then of course there’s tea-bags out of the sink, dish cloths, tea towels, oven gloves, knives, forks, spoons….. If a time goes by where he doesn’t steal something off the counter he starts honing his skills in other areas – for example cupboard opening!
